Connect any device to Internet of Things
OpenGate allows interacting with Internet of Things devices, M2M SIMs and assets, in a simple and reliable way. The Operations engine allows a combination of options that enable interacting, in a flexible way, with all the components of the infrastructure.
Ways of launching operations
Automatic upon conditions
Types of scheduling
Planned for a specific moment
Repeatedly for a certain time
Repeatedly until a specific moment
Number of entities
Set of (unlimited number of ) devices selected by filter
Single on, from the Web Portal or from the Web Service
Types of Entities
Devices, through the protocol connector
Assets, though it’s connector, or via its intermediate
Lines (and SIMs) through a connection with the Operator
Manage your solution’s connectivity
Your solution is not only a sensor or a bunch of data. It also requires communications, typically from an external carrier or a proprietary network.
OpenGate includes integration with:
We may connect with any major carrier in some situations using our Connector. We can also integrate with your local network using RF or Lora.
Please contact our Sales Team in order to get more information.
Locate at any time your device
Obtain a map to see where exactly is your device and its status
Compatible with GPS, LBS and provisioning
Organize device depending on the location
Apply location-based rules, like geo fences
Interact with devices using a graphic map
Filter, select and operate depending on location criteria
OpenGate allows you doing software upgrades of the Internet of Things, providing with a simple interface to create bundles and schedule the operations.
The software updater engine is divided in two separated parts. The first one is related with the nature of each devices via the protocol connector, and the second one relates to the information needed to create the upgrade options and to track the launched options.
Creation of bundles by manufacturer and type
Bundle version handling
Scheduling upgrading through time
Individual or bulk selection of devices to upgrade
Tracking of individual and bulk tasks
Intermediate knowledge of the upgrade status
Devices are the communication devices that are part of the infrastructure. In M2M it’s typical to have a modem embedded in machine, a modem using a serial cable, a router using a LAN, or maybe a concentrator using ZigBee in the short range communication and GSM on the long range.
Whatever the communication architecture is, OpenGate will manage all these devices taking care of several issues:
Do auto-inventory of the model, serial number, lines in use…
Interact with the device checking connectivity and status
Retrieve and correlate the relationship with the assets and lines under use
Execute and track operations against the devices
Perform software upgrade and tracking options
Correlate with external sources of information
The steps to do Device Monitoring are:
Build the protocol connector
Add the custom data in the OpenGate data model
OpenGate will take care of the rest, regardless of the type of the device or its communication technology
